Höhn Neigungstechnik GmbH
The company Höhn Neigungstechnik started in Ilmenau, Thuringia, as a simple thermometer workshop. After moving to Stuttgart, Höhn Neigungstechnik found a new home in Steinenbronn near Stuttgart in 1989 and is now an established company for the production of tilt switches for the industrial sector.
Unique selling proposition
The use of mercury switches has been banned within the EU since December 31, 2020. Market-standard products, such as ball switches or reed contacts, generally do not provide a reliable alternative. Our product portfolio is designed to offer our customers equivalent, industrial-grade, and cost-effective solutions. Our products are patent-protected.
Product history
Production of mercury switches began in 1966. In the late 1990s, a solution based on an aqueous liquid with evaluation electronics was developed as an alternative to the use of mercury. This solution has already been patented. The goal of further developments was to provide our customers with a cost-effective and technically equivalent replacement for mercury switches in existing applications. This led to the development of the HNSC-A and HNSC-B series, which enable retrofit solutions for many applications. For more complex requirements, our product portfolio includes the HNSC-C and HNSC-D series, where the properties of the switch can be customized to the application.
Philosophy
Our products are designed for reliable use in industrial environments, even under adverse environmental conditions. Safe operation, high reliability, and long-term availability are the characteristics that guide our efforts in development, quality assurance, and production.
